Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
His legacy
Dave's web site!
Thanks to Josh E. I have the link to the website that Dave created around 1997. This is pure Dave with writings  and activism about animal rights and human equality. He has his musings and some pictures on here also.

Dave was very outspoken about his personal beliefs and was against eating meat and any type of prejudice. He holds nothing back regarding these viewpoints in his web page and the intention of sharing this site is to demonstrate the type of unique personality Dave had and not to offend others.

Splink
Local band Dave did vocals for in 2002.
To listen to Splink songs or download music, go to

http://www.purevolume.com/splink

or their myspace page

http://www.myspace.com/splinkpunk

There are  Splink songs listed on the sites.  The Myspace page has more selection. I saw Dave in concert with Splink once in May 2002 and was amazed at his showmanship while singing lead vocals for the band. He was awesome and the band was popular in our area with a good turnout for this one particular concert.

ADVISORY: .The my-space page is almost identical to Dave's personal my-space page (Your Own Private Rock Star)
-Dave wrote political commentary that could be offensive to others.
-Some friends' comments may contain profanity.
-Dave has among his blogs a poem about a hanging tree.

HOWEVER! Viewers can skip items they may be uncomfortable reading. Dave's memorial my space contains poems by his friends, as well as his other personal blogs that showcase the incredible scope of his own talent for writing poetry.

"Goodbye, Dave" video

                    Popped by David A. Austin
Ghosts in time, a lost vessel
             The heart aches once
             and you know they're special
A statue like glaze covered in ice
             Looking out to nowhere
             The perfect love's first disguise
Sleeping without my rose in bed
             You're losing your smile
             As you're losing your head
             Without the gravity we share
             The falling, spinning Earth
Is mine and yours to bear

"Please Don't Wake Up"
"Please Don't Wake Up" is a song written by David A. Austin and
Richard "Dickie" Herr and performed by the band, Beside Me.  The song was considered for the independent film, Among Shadows.
Beside Me's members are all friends of Dave.
To visit Beside Me at their home page  go to http://www.besideme.net/index.cfm
However "Please Don't Wake Up" may not be the featured song any longer.
Ultimate Urban Gymnastics
Video Dave and Josh Huddleston sold to break.com.  Unfortunately Break.com has removed the video and it is no longer available to the public through their site.  Dave was the star of the video and he was very proud of this. It is a satirical look at gymnastic video clips and was filmed at Mill Race Park in Columbus, Indiana.  Dave is running around and jumping and being generally silly and goofy.

HOWEVER it is available on Dave's memorial My Space page!
Go to the first legacy on this site for the link to the Dave Austin memorial My Space page and the video is towards the bottom of the profile after Drew and Heath's poems. It is under You Tube; just hit play. It should be seen.

Here is the old Break.com link incase it ever returns to Break.com.
